The Farm

Many great memories at this place and each year we make more. Glad to know my husband and son enjoy "The Farm" as much as I. Even though it has changed over the years and is now actually owned by someone else, "The Farm" is a favorite place to be.

Quick Trip to Northeastern MN Part 2

So after our trip to Silver Beach...we headed for the Farm (north of Cloquet/Duluth).
A little 4 wheeling was done.
Took in some beautiful sunsets.

Stopped by #16 in Cloquet so Micah see the train. Times have changed since I was young...you're not supposed to climb on the train anymore. I noticed the sign after we had him on the caboose...oops.

Played a little ball.

Helped Grandpa with "his 4 wheeler"--the Snapper riding lawn mower. Still going after all these years...I'm sure there's a picture of me doing the same thing many years ago.

Checking out the bunk beds in the trailer.

Showing off a Monarch that he & Grandpa found (don't worry...it was already dead)

Even went to a fun retirement party of a distant cousin that had great activities for lil' guys like M.

Ahhhh Sundays

I've been meaning to share this and since it was started August 1, 2010, I'd better get busy before August 1, 2011 rolls around.

Sunday mornings.
The day to be excited to go and worship in the House of the Lord.
The day you look forward to all week.
The day you envision everything going smoothly, happy faces, and fun times.
The day that never seems to go the way you would like.

Yes, we had one of those Sundays last week.

It was a morning that the alarm went off and we chose to hit the snooze, only to be startled when you look at the clock and realize you "over-snoozed." A morning that I stayed up late to make "lunch" to bring to church. (sliced cheese, crackers, and caramel pull-aparts) The rolls were put in the oven a bit late, but no need to worry. It would give me just enough time to get a shower, pull together M's clothes, and try to get the stuff in the car before bringing the sleeping giant to the car. It was all going to work just fine.

Needless to say, it didn't happen that way....

By the time all was in the car, we had been at each other (and their are only 3 of us...I can only imagine what it will be like when we add more to our family----and no, I'm not indicating others are on the way....yet).

Thankfully "God's grace is sufficient" and on that Sunday Morning...and many Sundays like it. I am reminded on the way to church the majesty of God's creation, at church the beauty of people coming together, and during worship the refreshment and encouragement reading God's Word, praying, and praising is to the soul.

Thank you for Sunday mornings.
