Our 2 Year Old Boy! Thank you Jesus for this Gift!

Pacifier, Blanket, & All!

Ahhhh...what would a birthday be without a good chomp on the pacifier!?!

Micah's Birthday Adventures Continued...

Micah had another birthday celebration. Auntie Angela was trying to get a few loves & squeezes. Pacifier boy was a little on the stubborn side for that.

He contemplated the cake & candle...and then DUG IN!

We tried to divide up the pieces...Micah liked to sample the frosting on each piece.

Grandma & Grandpa getting a couple hugs and Uncle Chris in the back. Uncle Chris liked Micah's police shoes and wondered if they made them in his size. Hmmmm....we'll have to check into that.
Our Birthday Boy!!!

Micah's Birthday Adventures Continued...

On the way back from the farm we stopped at Aunt Pam & Uncle Arnold's place on Green Lake. Micah loved playing in their sandbox...we both took home souveniors of sand in our hair.
Uncle Arnold has done a FABULOUS job landscaping. It looks wonderful. Micah had his first cook-out of the season. Roasting hot dogs & marshmallows around the "HOT" fire. (he loves to say the word Hot....and uses it regularly).
He even helped Uncle Arnold drive the pontoon around the lake. He liked being on the water. Was tired of putting around so on the way back we went fast! He liked that too. It was too cold to go in the water this time...maybe next time.

Micah's Birthday Adventures!

Micah started celebrating his 2nd Birthday at "The Farm"...or "At the Trailer." We journeyed Hwy 210 across the state passing by all kinds of "world's largest" statues. One of these days we'll stop and take pictures. Steve would be quite amused I'm sure. We traveled 50 miles North of Duluth to give Micah his first cognizant time at the farm.
My mom brought a cake & we did the Birthday song & candle blowing out thing. Micah danced to the birthday song and tried to help sing. Didn't quite know how to blow out the candles but did a fine job of rearranging the sprinkles and digging in! He liked the Thomas train that was on the cake best!
Much of the time we spent at the farm, Micah RAN. In fact, here he was chasing a gaggle of geese for a while.

He ventured up to the farm to check out the sights and sounds.

He & Grandpa had a good time laughing
Plenty of rides were had on the 4 wheelers from both Daddy & Mommy. He was even pulled around on the trailer with Grandma by Uncle Johnny. It was a beautiful time all the way around.

May Visits Continue

Our dear friends "The Nelson's" were in St. Cloud right before Memorial Day Weekend. (All but 2 of them). We were so excited to be able to hang out with them for a little bit. The older Nelson boys are HUGE & Josiah graduates...CONGRATULATIONS!

Sarah came to help her parents for a few days after his dad had surgery. She is AMAZING! We had a good time catching up and laughing...about life in general!

Esther was sharing her artistic abilities.

While Micah & Micah ran around and chased each other.

Big Micah was showing Baby Micah his new shoes!
We were so thankful we were able to see them for a short time. We are also thankful that all seems to be progressing well for Big Micah. Keep the Nelson's in their prayers as they have a busy summer & a few more doctor visits on the horizon.
We love you Nelsons...one of these days we'll find our way to visit the UP!

"Grandma & Grandpa" Lomsdalen come to visit!

We were so excited that "Grandpa Bob" and "Grandma Elaina" from DeWitt could come and visit us before Memorial Day! We Love them. Micah was even givin' out some loves too!
On the Front Steps.

We took them to the local "hot spot" in Fergus Falls for Breakfast....THE VIKING!

Micah was reading them the book they gave him for his Birthday. He LOVES looking at the animals and talking about them...UNTIL...he gets to the last page where there is a FROG on the DOG's HEAD. He repeatedly points and laments with furrowed brow, "Oh no, Oh no." For some reason it is NOT ok for that Frog to be on the puppy's head.
We had a Fabulous time with them & only wish it could have been longer!
Thank you for all your love Bob & Elaina.
We love you dearly!

Trains!

The other day Daddy dug out Micah's ELECTRIC train. (Could it be that Daddy was tired of sitting on the floor pushing the other trains around?!??) Now Micah likes to have the train running ALL THE TIME. Even if he's not physically sitting next too it...he wants to HEAR that it is on. Clank clank clank!
...and yes...he's still the pacifier/blanket boy. We're cutting back...trying to only let him have it at bedtime! We call him Linus (from the Peanuts cartoon) when he's in that mode.

Our lil' driver

Yes, right now I drive HIM around in a stroller...
HE sometimes DRIVES his Aunt Crystal & Uncle Jim's dog Essie a little crazy...

And someday he may ACTUALLY DRIVE...thank you Jesus it won't be anytime soon!

Thank you Uncle Jim for letting him pretend to DRIVE your car.
Funny thing is that some say he looks like a miniature version of Uncle Jimmy!

More April Visits

YEAH...So Much Fun to see friends from DeWitt! We met up with a group of ladies that were headed to Inspiration Point Bible Camp for the Women's Retreat in April. It was great to reconnect & see familiar friendly faces. I had planned on going out to camp to see them but it was not long after my surgery so wasn't able to make the trip by myself. They even delivered our skillet pans that we inadvertantly left behind!!
And another angle...
Our Friend Larissa...
It was great to see them!

Visitors in April...

Our friends Emily & Nate came to visit in April. We were able to celebrate: Nate's Bday, Emily's Bday & Their ENGAGEMENT!!! Yippeee!

And Micah was able to play with Emily again...his first somewhat fulltime/parttime babysitter!
He liked showing off HIS weekend vacation from mom & dad when mom was recovering from surgery.
Micah also showed Emily some of his new favorite things...TRAINS. As you can tell it derailed and he's not a big fan of that.

Random Pics from the last month

Yes...our Little boy does get mad. He's one when he didn't get his way! He has entered the 2 year old stage...TODAY! We love him...and his stubbornness got him into this world! Praise the Lord! (He's even cute when he's mad though.)
Hasn't really mastered the trike yet...but he can push it around. His feet slip off the pedal and get stuck between the pedal and the wheel. He can get mad then.
Micah and Daddy like to wrestle.

Micah usually wins...
We often had a visitor with our old bird feeding stand...now we have 4 feeders and have yet to see the squirrel on the feeders.

So...here comes the barrage of pictures from the last month! At the end of April we were still dealing with snow! We've now FINALLY hit spring and actually have to mow the lawn. Thanks to my AWESOME BOSS, we can mow with a SHARP blade instead of just pushing the blades over. We're finding there are some things planted here so don't feel like I need to do too much in the way of planting. I think we'll plant a few pots of flowers...but buying flowers is pretty low on the priority list this year.

What in the World??!!

I cannot believe it's been so long since blogging.  Where has time gone?

Hmmm...where to begin to catch up?  The month has obviously been a whirlwind and tomorrow is MICAH's 2nd Birthday!  In honor of his birthday I'll upload some pictures to show ya.  As for now...our little...almost 2 yr. old has finally gone to sleep.  Therefore off I go as well.

More tomorrow. :)
